Gord's main innovation was "pdftoweb" an application which turned a pdf document into the html to create a website.
Due to this releasing during the height of the .com bubble, it became a popular piece of enterprise software.
The stable branch of the source code was hosted in one of HarryJason senior's datacentres and the testing branch was hosted by ENRON due to their collaboration on new features.
Unfortunately this meant the ENRON server was located in WTC7. Work on support for other formats was severely delayed due to loss of data on 9/11.
Whilst Gord was rewriting this feature, a new contributor joined the team: Faith Alison.
She was friendly, responded quickly to bug fixes, and patched in new feature requests.
After a few years, not realising that she was a trans woman, Gord gave her commit access to the repo.
Her first commit after gaining this privilege was a file called "CodeOfConduct.txt."
This quickly derailed development as senior engineers were ushered out under the pretext of "transphobia."
Gord handed the reigns of IT director over to HarryJason10, knowing that his skillset made him capable of dealing with the situation.
HarryJason10 has remained IT director ever since.
Faith Alison would go on to date Gene Broadwater. They have since broken up, but still remain friends and members of the same DnD club.
