The giant crab incident was a disaster triggered on the 22nd of November 2023 by the Baron of [[Frien Hangout]] Funiegg during the Frien Hangout era of nobbiness. During one of his inhumane experiments he "accidently" released the beast we know as the giant crab. The moment it was released from the facility it began wreaking havoc on workers at it's containment facility, severely injuring Funiegg's son Cooper, leaving him with two broken legs, and later civilians living in Cooptopia were also attacked by the giant crab. This chaos was mostly ignored by Funiegg as the giant crab was paying his taxes.
After the giant crab stopped paying Funniegg's taxes, he was quickly contained and put back into his containment facility, despite the scale of the disaster, it was successfully covered up as to not let the outside world know about it. Nobby experts estimate that around 1 million citizens lost their lives and millions more were injured.
Only after EESIS agents infiltrated the Frien Hangout government, the incident was discovered and leaked to the world.
Every year on the 22nd of November 5 pm there is a 1 minute silence to pay respect to those who died in the giant crab incident.
